This year The Identity Store celebrates 20 years selling leather and leathercraft supplies, and we have decided to celebrate with a very special weekend on July 30th and 31st.
We will be holding a large event at Matlock Town Football Club that is a celebration, not only of a successful local business, but also of our talented maker customers and the wonderful natural material that leather is.
Well made leather goods have a vital role in the circular economy, being long lasting, durable and best of all repairable. The Identity Store plan to have a Repair Shop at the event offering advice and supplies to either mend yourself, to get a small repair done on the day, or to get a quote for a repair from one of the makers.
BIG LEATHER SALE - ARTISAN AREA - DEMONSTRATIONS - TASTER SESSIONS - TALKS - REFRESHMENTS - REPAIR SHOP
There will be tables full of leather, ideal for making clothing such as jackets, dresses or waistcoats; for bag making, tool covers, belts and more. There will also be an Artisan Area showcasing some of our makers and their craft, as well as vintage leather clothing.
During the two days there will also be mini taster sessions, talks and demonstrations of leather working, so come and have a look.
The Event will be open from 10am – 3pm and is free to all.
ARTISANS AREA -
At this event we are offering our makers a free table to showcase/sell their leathercraft and related products.
Are you interested to take part?
Tables are available free of charge for both days, or Saturday or Sunday separately. There are a limited number available so please, if you are interested let us know as soon as possible.
Use the form below to highlight your interest or call us on 01629 581403 to reserve your table.
REPAIR SHOP -
We are also looking for someone to offer to repair and renovate leather items - and will promote the opportunity locally as part of a commitment to sustainability.
This would be a free chance to promote the repair side of your business in the Matlock area.
