The Identity Store Limited collects the personal information that you supply through this website for the purposes of processing and fulfilling any orders for products and courses you purchase via the website and for providing you with any services, eg: Mailing List, for which you subscribe. We may also collect any photographs you submit to us for use in the customer galleries.

The Identity Store is committed to safeguarding the privacy of users of this website, whilst ensuring that you receive a high quality service. The Information We Collect And How We Use It
In accordance with the legislation General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we hold and use data in the following ways:

Order Processing:

Name, addresses, telephone and email - these are held for order processing only. This information is held in two secure places – the admin section of the website and an accounting package both of which are password protected. Where couriers are used they may have your email or telephone number to keep you up to date for delivery notifications only, these are also password protected

The Identity Store Ltd collects personal information from you when you: Register with the website on the 'Registration page' If you register via this page, we collect information such as your name and your e-mail address. This is used to personalise the service that you receive, for example by recognising you when you return to the website. Please note that the password you choose to register can only be viewed by you. If you forget your password we can send you a password re-set.

If you go on to the CHECKOUT, we will also collect the billing and delivery address for the product ordered (if it is different from your billing address). We use this information and that you provide when you register to progress your order.

If you order and pay by mailorder we collect your credit card or debit card details. All other website payments are processed through a secure server by Shopify, our online payment provider and PayPal on our behalf. This means that we do not see or store your payment details. Non-Marketing:

We may use your email to communicate with you on the following:

  • Information about your order or delivery
  • Notice of changes to the website, your account or company information

Postal Marketing

In certain circumstances where permission has been received we may post out information on sales or events, this is generally to customers who do not use computers and therefore require information sent in the post.

Subscribe to Receive Email Newsletters

Where you have consented we will send you our email newsletter, you may also subscribe to a specific interest group such as Falconry to receive relevant news, and you can also sign up to receive advanced dates of the workshops. You can unsubscribe to any of these interest groups, or the mailing list at any time.

If you subscribe to receive Newsletters we collect your name and e-mail address. You can subscribe through this website page, through Facebook or by personally giving us your information at the store, a show or event. Paper copies of requests for signing up are destroyed as soon as the data has been entered into our secure system at Mailerlite.

We use MailerLite to manage our email marketing subscriber list and to send emails to our subscribers. MailerLite is a third-party provider, which may process your data using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter.

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided at the end of each newsletter.

Submission of Photography

We may also keep customer gallery photos that you have submitted to us. These may be used for Customer email newsletter galleries or product galleries showcasing leathercraft. You may request these to be removed at any time.

2. Information Sharing and Disclosure

2.1. We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may, however, give information about you to the following, for the express purposes as set out below: 
If you register with the website: 
a) to employees and agents of The Identity Store Ltd for them to administer any accounts or services provided to you through the website. and if you place an order with us;

b) to employees and agents of The Identity Store Ltd for them to administer any accounts, products and services provided to you through the website, for example delivery and courier services.

c) If you place an order so that we can determine whether or not to accept your order. In particular, Shopify Payments, our online payment provider will check the card details you have given against details held by your card issuer to ensure the payment details given are correct. If there is any anomaly with the details that you have provided, then Shopify, our online payment provider may keep a record of the use of that card for the purpose of future security checks. 3. Transfer:
Lastly, if ownership or operational control of all or part of our website were transferred, whether as part of the sale of The Identity Store Ltd business or otherwise, we may disclose your personal information to a transferee. If that happens, we would require them to use your information in a way that is consistent with this Privacy Policy, and we would notify you of the change.

Credit & Debit Cards

3.1. If you pay for a product over this website, we use Shopify Payments, our online payment provider to process your payment. Shopify Payments operates a secure server to process your payments details. They encrypt your credit or debit card information and authorise payment directly. This means that your credit card or debit card details are never revealed to us. 4. Aggregated Information

4.1. We may share non-personal aggregated statistics data about visitors to this website and sales and traffic patterns, with the company or other parties. Just to be clear, this information does not identify users in any personal capacity; it just gives generalised information about the users of our website. Google Analytics is an example of this.

5. Cookies and Other Tracked Information

5.1. While on the website, certain information is automatically logged about how you are using the website. This information may include the URL of the website which linked you to this website, your IP address and the pages you visit while on the website. 6.1. This website contains links to third party websites that are not subject to this privacy policy, for example on our USEFUL LINKS page. Read our Terms & Conditions for further information on these links. We recommend that you read the Privacy Policy of any such websites that you visit.

6.2. We use all reasonable precautions to keep the information disclosed to us secure. The use of encryption creates billions of code combinations to protect each transaction made on the website, so your card details cannot be viewed by anyone else using the internet, including by us.

6.3. Every time that you enter an area of the website that carries or requires sensitive information, an icon, resembling a lock will appear in the bar at the bottom of your screen to show that you are in a secure environment.

6.4. Despite using this technology, we cannot guarantee the security of the information that you disclose to us. You accept the inherent risks of providing information and dealing on-line and will not hold us responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to our negligence or wilful default.

6.5 Data from inactive accounts will be archived, and stored securely in a password protected file, and only activated again if the customer requests the information. (An example might be to get a copy invoice/receipt, to ask to see previous orders to help with a new repeat order..)

If your email subscription has not been active for 12 months the email address will be unsubscribed and deleted.
