”TILE” Leather Blanks (made in the UK)

This leather has been made to stay firm and flat. It is a mineral based simple tannage with a large amount of wax impregnated to give it a solid but natural feel, without compromising on the beauty of the leather grain, making it ideal for tiling purposes.

It has been commercially made and used for the luxury high end interior design market as leather wall and floor tiles. They make for a decorative and hard wearing flooring, that long time wear and usage can even add to their appearance. They give a warmer feel under foot and are suitable for use with underfloor heating.

Substance - 5.5-6 mm thickness

The tiles can be embossed into (under a heavy duty press), dyed, or painted to create a truly customised and unique interior design element.

If the tiles are being used as place-mats or coasters seal the design with Permacoat.

The tiles take colour and paint well, the base colour does vary across the leather and some are darker than others. This should be borne in mind when using the Water Based Leather Stains.
