Part of our new Heritage Leather collection - we now have some softer mellow type cowhide type leather in butts or short backs, a dark Bourneville Brown in colour.
These special leathers have been made and rescued from the old Clayton's Tannery in Derbyshire, made from UK grass fed farm herds.
Authentic, heritage UK vegetable tanned leather in two weights 2.0-2.5mm and 2.5-3.0mm approximately, with a characteristic grain, and occasional grain creases.
Sizes - sizes vary but with a minimum of 8 sq ft and around 50" in length...
USES: bag making, duffels, washbags, aprons, tool rolls, waistcoats, boot covers (gaiters)
They are part of our GUEST LEATHER that means we won't be able to get more once they are sold, stocks are VERY limited. Please also note as leather is sold the length parameters may alter slightly from the video.
These leathers all come of UK farm stock, and have been tanned in England using traditional processes including pit liming and tanning.
