Part of our new Heritage Leather collection - we now have in stock speciality alum tanned white leather typically used for Napoleonic re-enactment at bargain prices.

Authentic white alum tannage, heritage UK leather with a buffed and fluffed surface.

They can be coloured by using a dilute solution of water based dyes and stains.

Thickness - (approx 2.5-3.2mm)

A3 size 42cmx29.5cm (16.5"x11.75")

Larger bends approx around 10-11 sq ft, generally length 48-54"

USES: straps, frogged belts, cartridge pouches, satchels, work belts, weightlifting belts, back supports, luggage straps, furniture, placemats and coasters. The snuffed surface makes it ideal for giving a good grip and is used for gymnast or rehabilitation equipment.

They are part of our GUEST LEATHER from the Old Claytons Tannery at Chesterfield that means we won't be able to get more once they are sold.

These leathers all come of UK farm stock, and have been tanned in England using traditional processes, in this case with alum salts to give their characteristic colour.  The pieces are not pristine, there can be some shadowing in a few places which can be whitened/coloured away.
