This vegetable tanned leather has been coloured by traditional dye methods giving it an authentic look and a firm feel. It is leather in it's simplest form, and is ideal for most purposes. Each leather has different colourings between light brown and light mahogany and with the application of a simple wax finish has a very desirable characteristic appeal.
The leather can be wet form and embossed.

These leathers all come of UK farm stock, and have been tanned in England using traditional processes including pit liming and tanning.
They have been tanned by simple methods eliminating extra processes such as dye evening agents, making them ideal for re-enactment, bushcraft, TV and Film costume and more.
They are large pieces and due to the nature of this offering the sizes can vary, measurements given will give you the minimum area, they have characteristic markings such as growth patterns, and tannery marks that are typical of traditional tanning.
