Stitching awl with diamond tip awl blade.
Use to make stitch holes in leather, to open up holes made with stitching chisels (pricking irons), to to align holes while stitching. An essential for a leathercrafters tool box.
With an easy to hold wood handle and a permanently fixed diamond tip blade 32mm (1.25"), this blade can pierce through leather up to approximately 4.0mm.
We would not recommend this blade for heavier leather thicknesses that feel hard, such as soling-types, but for leathers with some 'give' in the structure.
